The halogen field gives a warm, even light across the surgical site with minimal shadowing when I lean in for orthopaedic work. It does throw a fair bit of heat over long procedures.

Illumination is perfectly adequate for routine spays and dentals, but the bulb heat is noticeable during extended anaesthesia. I would have liked a cooler spectrum for prolonged theatre use.

Colour rendering is true enough that tissue planes read accurately during soft-tissue dissection. The arm holds position without drift once you set it.
